Matt. 14:29-31

"And He said, "Come!" And Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save me!"

Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and *said to him, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?"

• Water in scripture represents the word of God.

• It takes a miracle for us to walk upon the waters of God's word...and so He has provided one.

• As born again believers, with God's Spirit indwelling us, we can only stay bouyed up on God's word as we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus.
  

• When we take our eyes off Jesus and do not walk by faith, we sink into sin...just ask Peter....or me...or any believer.
